Find Joy in Your Journey

It was a grateful journey in Abu Dhabi finding this blog again aftersometime.

I was daydreaming until I find myself writing again. This time I am home.. in the Philippines with my family 🙂

It was an epic vacation and even I, was not able to forsee that I was not going back. All I know is that I have prayed and asked to regain my strength and joy.

I may not have gained those materialistic and monetary achievements when I came home but memories of good friends (phenomenal people ever I have met), of community services and church activities I have gone through with my Circle of Hands Choir and Singles for Christ Family, unforgettable work experiences and professional people who has shared their knowledge, difficult people who has made me a deep realization to hold more unto God’s grace and mercy, generous people who has supported me financially, emotionally and spiritually, House Hold sisters in Christ whom have given and shared ample of faith, hope and love, loving bestfriends who has been with me through my best and worst, was enough provision on the hardwork as an OFW.

It was a tough yet unregrettable journey of my life.

It was unforgettable of both good and not so good memories.

Painful or gainful? No it won’t matter at all… because it will never be good enough unless with the guidance of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Above all else, God is good all the time! 😊😊😊

The Lord has saved me from my selfish desires that I have come unto this journey where I cannot boast. Wherein, I put my whole trust unto His promises of taking good care of me wherever I may go. Apart from Him I can do nothing. May I always be attentive unto listening and doing what pleases Him.

I am praying that when I come back, I’ll be matured enough to be a good daughter, sister, friend, servant of the church and a future partner. Forever I will praise Him. These I proclaim and ask through our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

Variety, the Spice of Life!

Variety, we call them the spices of life. There are uncontrollable moments that we will feel uncomfortable to some people, some instances, and some responsibilities. At first we will not notice it because we don’t want to feel about it and in defense to that we would ignore it as much as we can. But the truth is God wants us to be faithful in asking Him what’s beyond that uncomfortable feeling we felt.

He wants us to be humble in asking Him a help unto approaching that person/ that responsibility in which we thought it’s impossible to be approached/ accomplished. He wants us to be prayerful and ask Him for his ways not to be dependent on our own conclusions and ignore what’s beyond our uncomfortable zone. He wants us to realize that a humble heart can speak more than any other actions which our hands/feet can do.

Differences may vary difficulties in life of every individual but always remember that there’s a reason for everything.

Some people with superiority make themselves proud at being perfect.

They we’re firm in what they believed in. Their wisdom and confidence has been an inspiration to become a great leader. But there are people who don’t want to think and hear on what others believed in. Some people will find fault from someone whom they think they can manipulate. They point out who’s to blame in every difficulty they find. They don’t want to see unnecessary things in their sight.

They want others to keep on pampering them but they don’t want to understand some people who felt inferiority. They want to be respected yet they confidently humiliate people whom they can tear down. It’s like they’ve sown a chili seed yet they waited for a sweet corn to bear. What you sow is what you reap.

On the other hand, people with inferiority make themselves the least on the list.

There are some instances in your life that made you feel of your unworthy presence. You were in a struggle. You were broken. You want to get rid those unnecessary things you are seeing right now. You want to see yourself free from those people who tamed you. People who broke your heart and made you feel unworthy.

You want something new. You needed an emotional support on your worth. Basically, you want change.

We can choose on what to change within our lives but not the kindness which God has sown into our heart. Changes are good but make sure you change for the improvement of your characteristic on which could help others instead.  If the change has become bitter, change the focus of your heart. Let God change the selfish desires of your heart.

Furthermore, I learned that variety isn’t a bad thing at all. Let the chili seed grow at its finest labor and let the sweet corn seed be the sweetest as it is. These two may vary in taste but of same function. To fill what our taste bud needs.

People vary in excellence and it is fine. We do vary in different ways but of the same function: to love and be loved, to give and to receive, to be blessed and be a blessing to others..

If you fail, try again. Failure isn’t the last page of your story. It keeps you moving. It keeps you dreaming. It keeps you planning. And the best part of it, is that you are learning. And instead of complaining, you kneel down and you kept on praying. That’s the spirit!

Trusting in God’s perfect timing in the midst of waiting is the best way of keeping yourself renewed and motivated.

Don’t give up.

Cheer up!

Remember what God has promised us:

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

2 Chronicles 15:7  But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.”

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Joshua 1:9  Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Hebrews 13:5-6 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,

“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

So we say with confidence,

“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

as the scripture says:

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. (John 13:34 ).

 

May God be praised forever! Amen.

Being Renewed

The greatest feeling that we can feel is when we are renewed. When our brokenness has turned into something that’s new and whole. When love has conquered our fear from being torn down. When hope is seen in every day that you are living. When your faith has grown deeper into your heart and you feel like someone has loved you unconditionally. When you found truth and lived for the truth. When you chose to live happily and give hope to others. When you’re inspired to inspire others. When you found love and when you love unconditionally. When you let God do your battles instead of feeling sick doing it alone. When you submit your everything to God and you let him fill what makes you thirsty. When you have fully entrust to God the plans you have laid, and believed that he can fix everything that’s been broken. When you finally say to yourself:

Philippians 4:13

 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

First Love

First love never dies?

I didn’t asked you who/ what was or is your first love but you simply smiled and think of him, her or it already. Whatever or whoever first came into your mind either a person, a career, or a vocation. It is indeed your first love.

How would you like to describe your first love?
Is it your past or present?
If it’s painful, does it made you think how to measure love? Or how would you love again?
If it’s your present, does it made you the best person who can build others up? Or does it made your heart completely love God the most? A lot of questions only yourself can reflect and meditate.

Your first love who made your world go round as they say. Your first love who taught you to share, to give affection, to trust, to build a dream and a goal to forever.

Sometimes, your first love is to be a teacher but with the past circumstances, you chose the other field. And others have known their first love was His calling and others are still in their search. For others, their first love is their present and now married. For others, it’s in the past and learned so much from it. And though years has gone without your first love, you can still measure the happiness and of course the pain.

It’s been two years when the first love has gone. When the first has turned to be a past and seemed to be unreachable.
And when you tried again, your kind of love story seemed to be a cycle of hoping, then suddenly hurting.
It may be painful but the reasons behind it is good and beneficial to us. It trains our heart, mind and soul to be strong in the first place.
But that strength sometimes overdrive us to be more independent. That you don’t need anything or anyone. Be careful no to. It will not heal you. It blocks your reason to love again.

When the false hope comes into you as if it was meant for you, have patience. It is not our plans and desires that gives us strength and motivation to move forward. There is reason for everything.
It saves us from total brokenness because those false hopes that hurt us is only for a day, a week or a month.

But the first heartbreak, reminds us everything:
It reminds us to have faith in God’s perfect timing.
It reminds us to trust in His responses:
“Yes, No and WAIT”
It reminds us to never stop searching and loving, until you finally meet him or her.
It strengthens us.
It motivates us.
It drives us more closer to the one who will truly and faithfully love us.

 

It reminds us to love the one who first loved us:

 

1 John 4:19
We love because he first loved us.

 

Your will to love and be loved will make you the best person. Instead of breaking someone’s heart to know how it feels to win over your brokenness, be of good faith. Whatever it is that bothers you, take heed your faith. Good things comes to those who patiently wait, seek and discern for it. Trust in God. As the scripture say:

1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Only through His will our hearts can be contented.

A Man and a Woman (Part III)

In this generation, truth about courting has been forgotten and mutual understanding is becoming uninterested. Getting into a relationship has been an awkward concern to several single men and women. Fear of losing and hurting took over. And hiding of emotions has been the replacement of our doubt. 

[“I” refers to a woman & “You” refers to a man in this blog – no intention to pinpoint a single person here. Either you find it biased or not, I will tell you this is a general observation to this generation and a shout out of a single person. My dear friends, I’ll say it in advance, peace be with you all (^_~)]

 

Do not put me in your list I’m not an item. You cannot own me as if you’d won a trophy. I’m a daughter of God and you’re a son of God, commonly our heart belongs to God, no one has the right to play and break it.

Like you, I have a name, call me by my name it’s a sign of acknowledging my presence/ respect and I loved to call your name as I respect your presence as well… Like you, my name is the most wonderful gift to me by my parents.

If you’re going to pursue me, do not just give me a hint/ clue as if I have to chase you. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Love’s not a game like you are to play a charade. You did the first move for me to like you. I will not do anything for you to fall for me. I loved talking with you but I won’t beg for your attention it will only break me. And we aren’t a high school student anymore. Like you, I can pay my bills and live on my own. I am telling you this not to boast but to inform you… this is just a reminder only. Maybe you just overlooked on my capability.

The people around us already knew it as well. But you we’re like a numb trying to cover what you saw and did nothing. If you are just trying to know me, do it once and sincerely. Be consistent and do it with a pure intention. Do not make it partially like for example, you’re dating me today, the next 3 days your gonna ignore me and pursue the other one. In the same manner, please inform me so that there will be no misunderstanding. You have given me the reason to assume. Definitely my heart will be broken even if let’s say that you tried to know me only. It’s definitely offensive to me. (In some instances, I think it’s applicable to other man who feels what is written here. I’m not sure ~_^).

When I saw and felt your unclear intention, I left you alone and did not disturb you. I will let you find and love yourself first and I will let you enjoy what you wanted in life or whom you wanted to be with. And in the same manner, do not be broken if you’d find me searching for what I love as well. Because no matter what you’d do neither I, love probably will find our special someone who’s gonna love you and I. Let’s put our trust to our God and let us not hurt each other. Do not hate rather appreciate.

Lastly, let us always remember that “God is love” (1 John 4:8). Whatever happens to the “You and I”, let us not forget that above all else, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love, because He first loved us. (1 John 4:18-19).

A Man and a Woman (Part II)

There’s a big difference with discerning and only trying.
If you discerned for that person it means you are sure about him/ her and you asked for God’s guidance with your desire to love and be part of that person.
But of course it should be the man to be genuine in his decision and not make it only as his option.
When you desire try not to be inconsistent. If you’re unsure with it, there will be hesitancy in the relationship. it will break the connection you just started. Yes it should and will always start from the man if he’s ready enough. Firm as a rock. Gentle as the wind.

Know that a woman and a man’s heart is both fragile and important to God. Guard your heart and use this to proclaim that God is love.. If you cannot see it yet , take heed your faith. Be still and trust that God has sown His love in each of you and you will recognize him or her in His perfect time.
Take time to know each other. Memorizing each days you were together. Understanding the difference of each individuals. Taking good care of each other’s comfort zone.
Respecting each other’s perception and outlook in life.

Have the purest intention and know that love can never be hidden. To all men, be gentle and pursue the woman. To all women, if you recognized his pure intention acknowledge it. Once it’s clearly said and done there shouldn’t be holding back as the scripture says:
